Storyboarding

Storyboarding is the visualisation of a video concept , we use it as a representation of the camera shots being used in our film sequence . It is a basic way to get down our ideas and visual themes of our video onto paper as a basic plan , using drawings of characters and basic props.
The storyboard was useful for us as some group members struggled to visualise some of the ideas , the storyboard that we all drew gave us an idea of what we all wanted it too look like . The storyboard will also make it easier for us to see how the shots will flow once we make it into a narrative .

Above is the template we used to quickly sketch out our shots , using very little detail to manage our time we also discussed the shots so that a detailed drawing wasn't necessary and instead we memorized the scenes. We also watched the video below for inspiration , we found it difficult to create the storyboard originally as some of our shots were 15 seconds long and difficult to put down on paper.

This is a very extreme example of a storyboard created by an artist  , these storyboards are a very accurate representation of what the shots will look like on camera . Sadly we didn't have time to create something like this .
